The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday said empowered women make nations resilient nations and strong coming generations.
Studies show that all the members of a society are benefited when women are supported, it said.
Families are healthier, educated and balanced while productivity improves and incomes increase when women are given authority, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.

Samina Fazil, founder President, Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) on Friday asked the business community to support those who have waged war on blindness.
Eradication of preventable blindness from Pakistan is a noble cause which merits attention of the private sector, she said.
90 per cent of the visually impaired live in developing countries out of which 80 per cent can be cured, said Samina Fazil.
Speaking at a condolence reference held on the first anniversary of Gen. Jahan Dad, founder of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, she said that 285 million people are visually impaired worldwide, 39 million are blind and 246 have low vision.

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday lauded the government for hosting trilateral summit that will help bring three neighbours closer.
The move will help Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran resolve many regional issues without interference of the west, it said.
All the countries are facing internal and external threats as well as economic problems which made them natural ally, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
There is a growing realisation that the motives of Washington are the root cause behind instability in the region which calls for a united stance on the core issues, he said.

Asking someone to be their valentine will provoke the wrath of Allah as such a request would be idolatrous, it said.

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Monday said guardians of public morality are not discharging their duties to keep the society clean and positive.
Certain elements are flouting Islamic values openly which is destroying the moral fabric of society, it said.
It was difficult to find anything indecent in print and electronic media in 1990s; now it is hard to spot anything which isn’t against our values, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.

Pemra, other watchdogs not discharging duties: President PEW
The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Friday said apart from rulers, a good number of masses are equally responsible for the current economic mess.
Economic downturn reflects anger of Allah Almighty whose directives are being flouted openly in the society, Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
Speaking at a seminar, he said that deceit and lying has become part of our daily lives while hypocrisy is considered a ladder to the success.
He said that it was difficult to find anything indecent in media in 1990s while now it is impossible to spot anything which isn’t against the public morality.
