Military leadership’s refusal to conditional US aid lauded
India reveals her true nature by welcoming the American move
The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Tuesday lauded the decision of the military leadership to refuse to bow to American pressure and reject conditional US aid terming it a move in the supreme national interest.
Our armed forces are not dependent on American aid to combat terror; the refusal to toe American lines blindly has contributed to its popularity and made whole nation proud, it said.Americans cannot be allowed make Pakistan a heaven for its CIA and Black water spies to jeopardise national security, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
He said that US has tried tactic of suspending aid seven times since 1965 while latest attempt to block 800 million-dollar military aid will help her achieve nothing.
American latest assault on our security apparatus will prove counterproductive as we have kept other options open, he said.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that America has again proved that it is an untrustworthy ally that is in habit of parting ways when needed.
Suspension of aid proves that White House is more interested in destabilising Pakistan than winning it war on terror aka wars for profit.
The decision of military leadership proves that it is not ready to compromise on interests of Pakistan and it is reversing Musharraf’s era faulty policies, he said.
He demanded to oust all of the American intelligence operatives — likes of Raymond Davis — from country that are working under the grab of diplomats, experts, trainers, technicians, social workers etc.
US policymakers should realise that Pakistan is not a satellite state and that our interests are different than that of Americans.
Pakistan’s interests are not and should not be influenced by wishes of Americans, Dr. Murtaza Mughal said.
India has once again unveiled its unholy designs against Pakistan by welcoming the move, adding that New Delhi will never attain dream of regional supremacy with the help of US masters, he said.
Dr. Mughal said that US should accept its defeat in Afghanistan, abstain from blaming others for her political and military failures, shelve revenge plans and efforts to find escape goats, learn lesson from history and leave this quagmire.

اسلام آباد پاکستان اکانومی واچ کے صدر ڈاکٹر مرتضیٰ مغل نے کہا ہے کہ پاک فوج امریکی امداد کی محتاج نہیں۔فوجی قیادت نے امریکی دباﺅ میں نہ آ کر اورمشروط مدد سے انکار کر کے پوری قوم کا سر فخر سے بلند کر دیاہے ۔800ملین ڈالر کی فوجی امداد کے بدلے ریمنڈ ڈیوس جیسے سی آئی اے اور بلیک واٹر کے جاسوسوں کو پاکستان میں کاروائیوں کی اجازت دینا ملکی مفاد کے خلاف ہے۔امریکہ اشاروں پر آنکھیں بند کر کے نہیں چلا جا سکتا۔اس سے قبل بھی امریکہ نے سات بار امداد بند کی ہے جس سے اسے کچھ حاصل نہیں ہوا ہے۔ہماری مسلح افواج پر اس حملہ میں بھی اسے منہ کی کھانا پڑے گی۔ بھارت نے امداد کی بندش کا خیر مقدم کر کے اپنا مکروہ چہرہ بے نقاب کر دیا ہے۔اسکا امریکی مدد سے خطے میں بالادستی کاپرانا خواب کبھی بھی شرمندہ تعبیر نہیں ہوگا۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ سیاستدان اس صورتحال سے سبق سیکھیں، ہر قسم کا دباﺅ مسترد کریںاور امریکہ سے سویلین امداد لینے سے انکار کر تے ہوئے خود انحصاری کے لئے قدم اٹھائیں۔ ڈاکٹر مرتضیٰ مغل نے کہا کہ امریکہ نے ایک بار پھر ثابت کر دیا ہے کہ وہ دوست ملک نہیں ہے اور یہ کہ ہر مشکل وقت میں ساتھ چھوڑنے اور ہماری کمر میں چھرا گھونپنے کا عادی ہے۔امداد کی بندش سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ امریکہ دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ سے زیادہ پاکستان کو عدم استحکام کا شکار کرنے میں دلچسپی رکھتا ہے جو اسکی نام نہاد دوستی کا کھلا ثبوت ہے۔ڈاکٹر مغل نے کہا کہ اس اقدام سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ فوجی قیادت ملکی سالمیت پر کوئی سمجھوتہ کرنے کو تیار نہیں اور مشرف کی بعض پالیسیوں کا تسلسل نہیں چاہتی۔انھوں نے مطالبہ کیا کہ ٹرینرز، ٹیکنیشنز،ماہرین اور سفارتکاروںکے روپ میں پاکستان میں موجود تمام جاسوسوں کو فوری طور پر ملک بدر کیا جائے۔ مریکہ اور اسکے تمام اتحادی و ایجنٹ جان لیں کہ پاکستانی فوج ملکی مفاد پر سودے باری نہیں کرتی۔پاکستان طفیلی ملک ہے نہ اسکے مفادات امریکی خواہشات کے تابع نہیں۔ وائٹ ہاﺅس افغانستان میں اپنی زلت آمیز شکست کا انتقام پاکستان سے لینے کی کوششوں نہ کرے ،ہمیں قربانی کا بکرا نہ بنائے، تاریخ سے سبق سیکھنے کا عادت اپنائے اور خاموشی سے اس دلدل سے نکل کرچلا جائے۔
