Petroleum price hike can result in total economic collapse, civil war
The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Monday said proponents of reopening NATO critical supply route are ignoring the fact that American hardware can be used against Pakistan.
It is an open secret that Americans are desperate to penalise Pakistan for their defeat in Afghanistan therefore they shouldn’t be allowed to use our soil against us, it said.
Reopening of NATO supplies is not a common issue but a matter of national security, and survival, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
US will have support of all the enemies including India if she decided to attack Pakistan from different sides, he said.
Our rulers should consider the pros and cons of ending the blockade before bowing to US pressure, he said.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that Pakistan has always supported US wars which has inflicted a loss of USD 70 billion and destroyed the fabric of society.
Influx of dollars has added to the miseries of masses, contributed to economic downturn bringing country to the verge of bankruptcy, he observed.
He said that recent hike in petroleum prices can ignite a civil war fulfilling the unholy designs of enemies.
The revision shows that all policies of the government have backfired except for patronising rural elite and supporting exempted sectors.
Such actions will bring about a total economic collapse. It seems that rulers want to leave behind a legacy of economic mess, he added.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that Pakistan should not import energy from India which has been perusing agenda to destroy Pakistan through water terrorism, supporting insurgents and defaming our country on international forums.
Importing items of strategic importance amounts to compromising our sovereignty as New Delhi will have leverage to unplug critical supplies anytime, Dr. Mughal observed.
There was no need for partition if we were to depend on India for everything from medicine to food and energy, he said.

اسلام آباد پاکستان اکانومی واچ کے صدر ڈاکٹر مرتضیٰ مغل نے کہا ہے ناٹو سپلائی کھولنے کی حمایت کرنے والے ملک و قوم سے غداری کے مرتکب ہو رہے ہیں۔ وہ انجانے میں پاکستان کا وجود مٹانے کی سازش کا شکار ہو گئے ہیں۔امریکہ افغانستان میں زلت آمیز شکست کا بدلہ پاکستان سے لینے کے لئے بیتاب ہے۔ناٹو سپلائی کی آڑ میں بڑی تعداد میں اسلحہ افغانستان پہنچا کر پاکستان پر حملہ کے لئے استعمال کیا جا سکتا ہے جس میں بھارت اور دیگر دشمن بھی مکمل تعاون کریں گے۔ ڈاکٹر مرتضیٰ مغل نے کہا کہ ناٹو سپلائی ہماری سڑکیں خراب ہونے یا راہداریاں وصول کرنے کا نہیں بلکہ پاکستان کی بقاءکا معاملہ ہے جس پرکسی سودے بازی کی اجازت نہیں دی جا سکتی۔تیل و گیس کے لئے لڑی جانے والی امریکی جنگ نے پاکستان کو ستر ارب ڈالر کا نقصان پہنچایا، بھائی کو بھائی سے لڑا دیااور معاشرہ تفرقہ بازی کا شکار ہو گیا۔ اب حکمرانوں کو امریکی غلامی سے نکلنا ہو گاورنہ ملک تباہ ہو جائے گا۔ڈاکٹر مغل نے کہا کہ اغیار ہی نہیں اپنے بھی ملک و قوم اور اداروں کی تباہی کا باعث بنے ہوئے ہیں۔ امریکی ڈالر عوام کی بدحالی کا سبب بنے ہیں۔تیل اور سی این جی کی قیمت میں ہوشربا اضافے سے ملک میں خانہ جنگی شروع ہو سکتی ہے جو پاکستان کے دشمنوں کا کام آسان بنا دے گی۔قیمتوں میں اضافہ سے ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ اشرافیہ کو نوازنے کے علاوہ حکمرانوں کی تمام پالیسیاں ناکام ہو گئی ہیں اورانھیں عوام کے مصائب سے کوئی سروکار نہیں۔پاکستان پر جنگیں مسلط کرنے، اسے بین الاقوامی سطح پر بدنام کرنے، دہشت گردوں کی ہر ممکن مدد کرنے اور ہمارے ملک کو صحرا بنانے کی سازش کرنے والے آبی جارح بھارت سے توانائی کا حصول اپنی شہ رگ دشمن کے ہاتھ دینے کے مترادف ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ تیل، گیس، بجلی، ادویہ اور اشیائے خردو نوش سمیت اگر ہر چیز بھارت سے ہی منگوانا تھی تو الگ ملک بنانے کی کیا ضرورت تھی۔
