Policy of modernizing, reforming madressahs lauded
Dr. Murtaza Mughal has said that religious and modern education should remain hand in hand which is imperative for the national development.
Integration of Islamic religious schools into the mainstream school system can help overcome many problems faced by the nation, he said.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President Pakistan Economy Watch said this while speaking as chief guest at ninth certificate distribution ceremony among Huffaz at Aiwan-e-Quran being run under the aegis of AIMS Education System.
He said that schools that are imparting religious education with modern education are serving society and bridging gaps between different sections of society.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that we need a lot of educational and ethical power besides all kinds of material sources; the nations equipped with high moral values are undefeatable.
Although madressahs have a long historical tradition and have produced some eminent scholars in India, Pakistan and elsewhere but now time has come to blend teachings with modern knowledge.
Lauding the policy of policy of modernizing the madressahs he said that by widening their course of studies and entering the education mainstream, the madressahs can make themselves more useful than they are.
Principal of the school Almas Ayub Sabir threw light on importance of religious and mainstream education.
We teach students the subjects which are being taught in other schools which enable our students to cope with the modern day challenges, he said.
Almas Ayub Sabir said that the students who study Islamiat as well as modern subjects would find themselves qualified for other jobs apart from those of prayer leaders and religious teaching.
The young generation has a tremendous potential and drive to excel in all fields of activity; maintaining moral values and cultural ethos is your duty, he told students.
An intellect, progressive vision and participation in extra-curricular activities are imperative to make a successful personality, said Sabir.
At the occasion, child Huffaz surprised audience in an impressive display of their retentive memory. They recited verses from the Quran and answered questions about the placement and meaning of the verses.

اسلام آباد: پاکستان اکانومی واچ کے صدر ڈاکٹر مرتضیٰ مغل نے کہا ہے مذہبی وجدید تعلیم کا امتزاج ملک و قوم کی ترقی کی ضمانت اورنئی نسل کے بہتر مستقبل کے لئے ضروری ہے۔مزہبی درسگاہوں کو قومی دھارے میں شامل کرنے سے کئی مسائل پر قابو پا یا جا سکتا ہے۔یہ بات انھوں نے ایمز ایجوکیشن سسٹم کے زیر احتمام چلنے والے ادارے ایوان القرآن میں حفاظ میںتقسیم اسناد کے لئے منعقدہ ایک تقریب سے بطور مہمان خصوصی خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہی۔انہوں نے کہا کہ جوسکول جدید تعلیم کے ساتھ مذہبی تعلیم فراہم کر رہے ہیں وہ نہ صرف معاشرے کی خدمت کر رہے ہیں بلکہ مختلف طبقات کے مابین دوریاں ختم کرنے میں اہم کردار ادا کر رہے ہیں۔ڈاکٹر مرتضی مغل نے کہا کہ تعلیم کے ساتھ اخلاقی اقدار پر توجہ ضروری ہے کیونکہ اعلیٰ اخلاقی اقدار سے لیس اقوام ناقابل شکست ہوتی ہیں۔ ساری دنیا اور پاک و ہند میں کئی نامور نامور علما کرام اور رہنما مدرسوں کی پیداوار ہیں مگر اب دینی و دنیاوی تعلیم کے امتزاج کا وقت آ گیا ہے تاکہ دینی تعلیم حاصل کرنے والوں کو بھی ترقی کے وسیع مواقع دستیاب ہوں۔اس موقع پر سکول کے پرنسپل الماس ایوب صابر نے مذہبی اور جدید تعلیم کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس سے طالب علموں کو جدید دور کے چیلنجوں سے عہدہ براہ ہونے کے قابل بنایا جا رہا ہے۔ایسے طلباء عملی زندگی میں امامت اور مدرسوں میں تعیناتی تک محدور نہیں رہتے بلکہ بہت کچھ کر سکتے ہیں۔انھوں نے کہا کہ نوجوان نسل صلاحیتوں سے مالا مال ہے اوروہ اخلاقی وثقافتی اقدار کو برقرار رکھتے ہوئے ترقی کی منازل طے کر سکتی ہے۔ الماس ایوب صابر نے کہا کہ ترقی پسند نقطہ نظر اور غیر نصابی سرگرمیوں میں شرکت طالبعلم کی شخصیت نکھارنے کے لئے ضروری ہے۔انھوں نے کہا کہ عقیدہ اور تعلیم باہم وابستہ ہیںاوراخلاقی قوت سے لیس اقوام نہ صرف ناقابل تسخیر ہوتی ہیں بلکہ دنیا کی امامت بھی انکے سپرد کی جاتی ہے۔اس موقع پر قاری طارق اور ایمزفائونڈیشن کے سردار عبد الوحید بھی موجود تھے۔
