Economic losses unacceptable during protests

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday said plunder of public and private property which resulted in economic losses to the tune of billions of rupees are unacceptable during protests.
Political leadership remained confined to their protected homes on Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool which resulted in unabated violence leaving whole country bleeding while losses crossed Rs 150 billion according to an estimate, it said.
Calls issued by different quarters for peaceful rallies against the third-rate blasphemous film was nothing but a formality, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
Talking to Allama Prof. Ajaz Mehmood Qadri, Chairman International Peace Council for Interfaith Harmony, he said that what we witnessed on the streets could not have been farther from the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), who is revered as Rahmatul-lil-Alameen.
Such chaos sends very negative signals and boosts desire in many to leave all this mess behind and escape to another country which is a great threat to our economy, he said.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that Muslims will never compromise on the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while the so-called civilised countries will continue their malicious campaign to hurt image and economy of Islamic countries.
At the occasion, Allama Prof. Ajaz Mehmood Qadri, who recently came from a successful tour of UK, said that freedom of expression must have limits.
He said that we condemn all the moves aimed at hurting the process of interfaith harmony even if they are orchestrated by advanced torchbearers of democracy and human rights who call their civilisation enlightened.
The factories of hate against Muslims in these civilised countries should no more be protected, said Qadri adding that intolerance, hatred and violence which will put the peace of world at stake.
There is critical flaw in our thought process, we must realise that violence is against the teachings of the Holy Prophet and we have no future except belief in interfaith harmony, he said.

پاکستان اکانومی واچ کے صدر ڈاکٹر مرتضیٰ مغل نے کہا ہے حرمت رسول پر کوئی مسلمان سمجھوتہ نہیں کر سکتا مگر احتجاج کے دوران لوٹ مار اورسرکاری اور نجی املاک کو پہنچنے والے اربوں روپے کے نقصانات ناقابل قبول ہیں۔نقصانات کی بڑی وجہ یوم عشق رسولۖ پر قیادت کا اپنے گھروں میں دبکنا تھا جس سے تشدد قابو سے باہر ہو گیااور نقصانات ایک سو پچاس ارب سے تجاوز کر گئے۔بعض رہنمائوں کی طرف سے عوام کو پر امن رہنے کی اپیلیں خانہ پری کی کاروائی تھی۔ چیئرمین انٹرنیشنل امن کونسل برائے بین المزاہب ہم آہنگی علامہ پروفیسر اعجاز محمود قادری سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے انھوں نے کہا کہ یوم عشق رسول پر نبی کی تعلیمات کو فراموش کر دیا گیا جس سے ساری دنیا کو منفی تاثر ملاجوہماری ڈوبتی معیشت کے لئے نقصان دہ ہے۔اس موقع پر علامہ پروفیسر اعجاز محمود قادری جو حال ہی میں برطانیہ کے کامیاب دورے سے واپس آئے ہیں نے کہا کہ اظہار رائے کی آزادی کی حدود کا تعین ہونا ضروری ہے۔توہین رسالت کی سازشوں سے بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کی کوششوں کو نقصان پہنچے گا۔جمہوریت، انسانی حقوق اور روشن تہذیب کے دعوے داروں کی جانب سے ایسے اقدامات کی جتنی مزمت کی جائے کم ہے۔ عدم برداشت، نفرت اور تشدد کی سیاست دنیا کے امن کو دائو پر لگا دے گی۔ احتجاج کے دوران قتل و غارت گری حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تعلیمات کی خلاف ورزی ہے جو ہمیں زیب نہیں دیتی ۔ انھوں نے کہا ک بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی پر یقین کے سوا دنیا کا کوئی مستقبل نہیں ۔
