Another unjustified demand of IFM has been fulfilled which strengthens the impression that democracy is the best revenge from masses.
Common people have been subjected to exploitation to gain Rs 32 billion of additional money.
“Government should curtail increasing non-developmental expenditure, stop corruption and tax fat cats, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
Institutions have failed to safeguard interests of masses. Decisions are being taken in the interest of foreign corporate mafias which cannot be tolerated, he added.
The recent hike will hit masses, industry, transporters, CNG sector and leave thousands unemployed, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal. It will increase bank defaults.
Terming reduction in petroleum prices as eyewash, he said that democracy is disappointing masses to the limit.
The tariff of electricity will be revised soon, which will break the back of masses. He said that Pepco is violating the orders of Peshawar High Court regarding electricity bills that must be probed.
Dr. Mughal said that disappointment among all sections of society is at peak and everyone is looking towards Supreme Court for protection of rights.
